President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that his administration will begin settling outstanding payments owed to road contractors within the month.
During a meeting with the Council of State at the Presidency on Monday, President Mahama noted that the move aims to facilitate the resumption of stalled infrastructure projects across the country. He indicated that funds have already been earmarked by the Ministry of Finance to address a significant portion of the debt owed to contractors.
“I’m sure that some of the contractors who have been working on your projects will be paid so that they can go back on site and continue their work,” he said.
