Patronize in the Nkoko Nketenkete policy to enhance poultry production in the country – MCE advocates

The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Dominic Adoma Ameyaw, has advocated for the patronage of the National Democratic Congress’s Nkoko Nketenkete Policy to enhance poultry production in the nation.

During his Weekly Church Visitation Exercise on sensitization against improper waste Disposal and enhanced sanitation, he stated that the Nkoko Nketenkete Policy is designed to expand agriculture within the country and ensure the advancement and development of poultry production. He mentioned that the policy includes the free distribution of poultry birds, feed, and vaccines, along with the provision of poultry coops.

He urged Ghanaians, particularly the residents of Dormaa, to actively participate in the policy, highlighting that it presents an opportunity for job creation. Additionally, he stressed the importance of consuming products made in Ghana to help stimulate the local economy and provide financial relief to all citizens.

The Municipal Chief Executive once again addressed the ongoing disturbances to the country’s natural resources, particularly the forest reserves.

He expressed concern about the extent of disruption affecting the Asikasu and Diabaa Forest reserves in Dormaa Central and Dormaa West, respectively, highlighting the necessity to cease any activities that harm the forests, including illegal logging and lumbering, among other practices.

He underscored the importance of forests as repositories for medicinal herbs and ecotourism centers, therefore stressing the imperative to safeguard these forests for the economic benefit of the country and the future generations.
