Parliament to work on MDAs estimates Next week

Accra, Feb. 13, GNA- The business of the House for next week would be concentrated on the annual estimates of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The Business Committee has limited the number of questions lined up Ministers to allow various committees to thoroughly debate the estimates.

Mr. Felix Owusu-Adjapong, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader announced this on Friday when he presented the Business Statement for the fifth week, ending Friday, February 20 2004. The Ministers of Information, Works and Housing, Manpower Development and Employment and Health have been scheduled to answer questions during the week.

A credit agreement between Ghana and the International Development Association (IDA) for an amount of Special Drawing Right (SDR) equivalent of 78 million dollars to finance the Education Sector Project (EdSeP) would also be laid before the House.
