Paramount chief Of Pai-Katanka Traditional area reported dead

Ho, May 8, GNA – Nana Ofosu Yiadom I, paramount chief of Pai-Katanka traditional area in the Krachi East District, is dead. Nana Mprah Pesemuna III, Krachiwura, said this when he led a delegation to inform Volta Regional Minister, Mr. Kofi Dzamesi, about the death and his funeral on May 30.

Nana Pesemuna described the late chief, who was 92, as a great leader who was development oriented and a repository of wisdom.

Mr. Dzamesi said he knew the late chief as a man of “substance” and expressed the hope that the funeral and installation of a new chief would be done peacefully.

“I plead with the king makers to get a good candidate to replace the late chief for the people to continue to enjoy the development of the area”. Mr. Dzamesi said.

He said Volta Regional Coordinating Council would support the traditional area to give the late Paramount chief a befitting burial on May 30.

The late Nana Ofosu Yiadom I ruled for 13 years.
