Owuwsu-Ansah re-elected parliamentary candidate for Kwabre West

Kodie (Ash), May 14, GNA – Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, the Ashanti Regional Minister and the Member of Parliament for Kwabre West, was on Tuesday re-elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the December general election.

Mr. Owusu-Ansah had 36 votes and the other contestant, Mrs. Millicent Elizabeth Boateng, a tutor at Serwah Nyarko Girls’ Secondary School in Kumasi, got 27 votes.

Mr. Robert Owusu Amankwah, the Ashanti Regional chairman of the NPP, expressed the hope that the candidate would be supported by all and sundry to ensure victory in the general election in December. Mr. Owusu-Ansah thanked the delegates for electing him and called for their support for the struggle ahead.
