Owusu-Tabiri Is Dead

The founder and leader of the Bethel Prayer International Ministry in Sunyani, Bishop Dr. Paul Owusu-Tabiri is dead. He was 69. He died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on Thursday June 2, 2005.

He broke away from the Sunyani branch of the church of Pentecost in September 1995 to form the Bethel Church. Currently, the Bethel Prayer Ministry International has several branches across the length and breadth of the world with Sunyani as its headquarters. The late bishop was on an European tour when he was taken ill and so had to return home for treatment. He left behind a wife and five children.
