Over 110-year-old church building collapses

Breman-Jamra (C/R), April 5, GNA – The rainstorm that hit Breman-Jamra community in the early days of March has led to the collapse of the over 110 year-old Methodist Church building. Briefing the reporter last Tuesday, a member of the church, Mr. Charles K. Baiden said that during the rainfall, part of the roof was ripped off while the walls had deep cracks.

He said sensing danger, members of the church ripped off the remaining roof and pulled down the building.

Mr. Baiden said meanwhile church activities are performed in the new building, which has reached roofing level by using canopy to cover it.
