Over 100 houses pulled down

About 100 houses are being demolished at Okpegonnor near Spintex in the national capital, Accra.

The demolishing exercise was conducted by the Teshie traditional stool on Tuesday June 18, 2013.

The exercise was executed based on a purported court order.

Properties which were occupied as of the time the demolishing exercise was ongoing, were left unscathed, but vacant houses were either totally or partially pulled down.

A resident, whose property was left untouched, said the Teshie Stool which demolished the houses is claiming title to the land.
