Outgoing Ghanaian Ambassador to Mali honored

Ghana’s outgoing Ambassador to Mali; H.E. Mahmud Khalid has been honored by the Prime Minister H.E Modibo Keita.

Mahmud Khalid was given a sword of honor for his meritorious contributions to the development of Mali and fostering good relationship between the two countries according to the Prime Minister.

At a brief ceremony at Ghana’s Embassy, H.E Modibo Keita expressed hope that he will continue to serve his country well wherever he may find himself.

H.E. Mahmud Khalid thanked the President and people of Ghana for giving him the needed support during his tenure as Ambassador.

“I am grateful to Ghanaian residents in Mali for according me the needed support and dedicate this sword to them”, he said.

Mahmud Khalid was a former Upper West Regional Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) though his tenure was brief under the erstwhile Atta Mills government.
