Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso says his side’s victory over Bechem United has boosted their confidence as they prepare to face Algerian giants JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League.
GoldStars will host Kabylie in the first leg of their preliminary round tie on Saturday, marking the club’s maiden appearance in Africa’s premier club competition.
“The win over Bechem United has set the tone for us to take on JS Kabylie on Saturday,” Manso said. “I think we are set, and now we have to psyche the boys so they understand what this competition means.”
The former Black Stars defender believes his squad is ready for the challenge, but has urged his players to stay focused and disciplined against the experienced North African side.
