Our campaign will be unique – CPP

The campaign strategy of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) ahead of the November 7 polls is completely different from what Ghanaians have seen with the two biggest parties: New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the years, James Kwabena Bonfeh, Director of Elections and Campaign Strategy for the CPP, has said.

According to him, Ghanaians are fed up with the conventional way of campaigning, hence are buying into the new strategy being adopted by the CPP.

The flagbearer of the CPP, Ivor Greenstreet, and his executives are embarking on a nationwide tour christened ‘Apam Fofor’ (New Testament) as part of campaign activities towards this year’s elections.

They have already toured the Upper East and Upper West Regions and are currently in the Northern Region. While in the Upper West region, Mr Greenstreet blamed Ghana’s economic woes on the NPP and the NDC, who have dominated the political space in the fourth republic.

Mr Bomfeh, known in political circles as Kabila, told journalists on Thursday May 19: “We are engaging the people of Ghana and entering a new deal with them, which will be a shift from what they have seen from the NPP and the NDC,” adding: “We are engaged in detailed activities with them [Ghanaians].”
