Osafo Maafo heads delegation to China

Accra, Aug 15, GNA – Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, Minister of Education and Sports, is leading a three-man delegation to China to hold discussions with Shanghai Construction Group on the construction of sport stadia in Ghana.

The construction of the Stadia is in preparation towards Ghana’s hosting of the 2008 African Cup of Nations (CAN 2008) tournament. The delegation, which will be away for a week includes Dr Kofi Amoah, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for CAN 2008 and Godfred Ntiforo, Quantity Surveyor at the Funds Procurement and Monetary Unit of the Ministry of Education and Sport.

A statement signed by Paul Kofi Krampah, Assistant PRO, said the Minister would also hold discussions with the Chinese Minister of Education on Technical Education in Ghana.
