One killed in Ho-Adidome road accident

One person has been confirmed dead while another sustained severe injuries after they fell from a tipper truck on which they were traveling on the Ho-Adidome road Friday.

The truck with registration number GR 5901-12 belongs to the Ussuya Ghana Limited, one of three construction firms working on the Ho-Adidome road.

The incident occurred while the truck was transporting gravels to site at Adaklu-Hlekpe, when it veered off the road and fell into a ditch near a Gridco sub-station.

According to eyewitnesses, the loose chippings on the road might have caused the truck driver, Zaburu Abubakar to lose control of the vehicle resulting in the accident.

The deceased, identified only as Gadako, who was on board the truck with the driver is reportedly not an employee of the construction firm.
