One person died at the spot when a Sunyani-bound VIP bus rammed into a trailer at Abuakwa in the Ashanti region Tuesday dawn.
Several other passengers who sustained varied degrees of injuries have also been taken to the Abuakwa government hospital for treatment, according to an eyewitness Patrick Asomaning who confirmed the incident to StarrFMonline.com.
The incident, according to Asomaning, occurred around 1am today.
He said the ravaged VIP bus is still lying at the scene of the incident but owners have ripped the number plate off to prevent identification.
