Omsu 2000 Year Group makes grand donation to alma mata

Members of the OMSU 2000 year group of the Old Mawuli Students Union made a grand donation of books worth GH¢ 10, 000 to the school.

The book donation was part of the activities marking this year’s National OMSU congress held at the School in Ho on Saturday 31st Oct. 2015 .

Making the presentation, the President of the OMSU 2000 year group Mr. Seyram Darbi, said that the book donation was to support academic work in the school by helping stock the new school Library with books relevant to the students current curriculum.

He said some research went into identifying the right books to procure for this purpose. The books covered a range of about 20 different subjects including Accounting, Biology, and Management in Living among others.

He also said the presentation marks the OMSU 2000 year groups 15th Anniversary on leaving the school as students and the donation was a token to show appreciation to their alma Mata.

The books were received on behalf of the school by Madam Edem Dzanie, the National President of OMSU and the senior tutor at the School.

Interacting with the students, the president and the omsu 2000 members advised the students to put the books into good use in order to further improve on the academic performance of the school.
