The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has donated GH¢10,000 to Ghana’s national amputee football team, the Black Challenge, ahead of the 2026 WAFF Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico.
Mr Assafuah made the donation during a visit to the squad at their hotel in Achimota, Accra. He also provided cartons of water and soft drinks for the players as they continued their preparations for the tournament.
The 2026 WAFF Amputee Football World Cup will be held in San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico, from November 13 to 22, 2026.

Mr Assafuah’s visit was intended to show support for the team and encourage the players as they prepare to represent Ghana at the international competition.
He praised the squad for its determination and commitment, highlighting the importance of backing their efforts to bring honour to the country.
The Old Tafo MP also promised to help mobilise further assistance for the Black Challenge in the coming days. He called on other stakeholders to contribute to the team’s World Cup campaign.
The donation comes as Ghana’s amputee football side steps up preparations for a tournament in which it will compete against some of the leading amputee football nations in the world.
