Okomfour Kwadee Stable but Needs Long-Term Care — Ohemaa Woyeje Reveals

Ghanaian music legend Okomfour Kwadee is reportedly showing significant improvement in his mental health following months of rehabilitation, according to radio presenter Ohemaa Woyeje.

Speaking on United Showbiz on Saturday, June 21, 2025, Ohemaa shared that the hiplife icon appears stable and healthy after receiving psychiatric care. She disclosed that an anonymous benefactor stepped in to ensure Kwadee was admitted to a rehabilitation centre.

“Currently, his condition is okay; he looks very fine. But we don’t know the person who sent him to the care home. Like I said, he is fine. But you know since he is stable right now, he doesn’t have to stay there,” she explained.

While the improvement in his condition has been welcomed, concerns remain about the musician’s long-term stability. Ohemaa Woyeje emphasised that a secure and controlled environment is essential to prevent a relapse into substance abuse.

“His mother even called me to ask me if there is any place he can stay so that he won’t go back to the drugs anymore,” she stated.

She further revealed that discussions are ongoing with key stakeholders, including the president of MUSIGA, to find Kwadee a safe place to stay, away from negative influences that might derail his recovery.

“His mother is in Accra right now. I spoke to the MUSIGA president and the funds Kwadee received are with him. So we are looking for a place that can accommodate him. A place where people won’t get access to him. And influencing him into doing drugs again,” she added.

The revelation has sparked public interest in the well-being of the once-celebrated artiste, whose mental health struggles over the years have drawn sympathy and calls for support from fans and industry players alike.
