Oguaa welders sensitised on safe use of Gas

Cape Coast, March 18, GNA – L’air Liquid, manufacturers of liquefied gas, on Friday organised a day’s outreach programme in Cape Coast to educate artisans on the safe use of gas to avoid accidents. The programme, which was under the theme “think safety,” was aimed at creating awareness among the participants mostly welders on the safe use of gas cylinders to avoid explosions that sometimes caused death. Mr Alfred Nyarko-Tokyi, the Marketing Manager of the company, said it was the corporate objective of the company to organise such programmes every year and that similar programmes had already been held in Accra, Koforidua and Kpone.

Mr George Sefa-Boateng, the Assistant Sales Manager, took participants through the proper handling of gas cylinders and cylinder maintenance.
