Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tema West, has appealed to school children to use their leisure time profitably by sticking to their books instead of wasting time in watching movies.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, said this when he presented two packets of roofing sheets to the Sakumono TMA Junior High School Two at Sakumono, to assist the school to repair its place of convenience.
He also presented 10 pieces of outdoor games on AIDS to the school’s authorities and appealed to them to ensure that the children played the games during their leisure hours so as to enhance their education.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo also donated eight packets of roofing sheets to the Sakumono community, to assist them in their development efforts.
Ms. Doris Obeng, Headmaster of the School received the items and thanked the candidate for the donation.**
