Odike’s ‘bribe’ to endorse Akufo-Addo is absolute rubbish – Sammy Awuku

The National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Sammy Awuku says he is innocent of a bribery allegation he has been accused of.

Mr. Awuku was alleged to have pocketed some whooping amount from a “deal” he negotiated with the United Progressive Party (UPP) flagbearer, Akwasi Addai Odike.

Mr. Odike according to his party executives received GHS500, 000 as bribe from the NPP to endorse Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the executives, investigations had revealed that the party’s National Organiser, Mr. Saahene, also received GHS6000 of the said amount while Mr. Sammy Awuku, who is the National Youth Organiser of the NPP, also took 10 per cent after brokering the deal.

But, the NPP youth leader on NEAT FM’s mornings show ‘Ghana Montie ‘rubbished the claims and tagged the executives as “Mad people”.

“These mad people will continue to organize press conferences to talk rubbish. They are just polluting the minds of Ghanaians,” he said.

Adding that – “How much do we [NPP] have as a party to give such an amount to just one person? There is no iota of truth in what they are saying, absolute rubbish.”
