Oboba Constructs Classroom Block

Oboba(C/R) The people of Oboba, a cocoa growing centre near Assin Odumase in the Central Region, are constructing a three-classroom block, an office and a store for the local authority junior secondary school, at a cost of 50 million cedis. In addition, they would construct a workshop for the teaching of technical subjects. Nana Kwame Afram, Chief of Oboba, said the project was funded through contributions of 20,000 cedis a man and 10,000 cedis a woman for resident citizens, while non-resident citizens are paying a flat rate of 30,000 cedis. Nana Afram said an amount of 15 million cedis has been spent on the project and appealed to the Assin-Fosu district assembly and non- governmental organisations, to come to their aid for the early completion of the project.
