Nyantakyi no longer popular among Ghanaians – Nana Fitz

Veteran football administrator Nana Fitz says president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has lost his popularity among Ghanaians.

Fitz, in an interview with Asempa Fm, said the period Nyantakyi enjoyed the support of Ghanaians is long gone.

“Nyantakyi is no more popular among Ghanaians. He has lost it. His popularity was at the highest point in 2006 to 2010. So I will advise Nyantakyi to honourably quit his post as the head of the Ghana FA, and concentrate on his dream of rising through the ranks of CAF and FIFA. He has done his bit”.

“It is unfortunate, the people around him are not truthful to him. They don’t tell him the truth, that he has nothing to offer Ghana football again”, he said.

Fitz, a well-known critic of the Nyantakyi administration, said he was advising Nyantakyi as a son, because he does not hate him, as is been rumoured, and that he will be happy to see him excelling in world football.

Nyantakyi has been the head of the Ghana FA for the past twelve years, and his current term is scheduled to end in 2019.
