Nsaba Sec school science laboratory to be rehabilitated

Agona Nsaba, Mar 3, GNA – The Nsaba Secondary School is rehabilitating the science block and laboratory. According to the Headmaster, Mr Sam Kwamena Ansah, new equipment and facilities would be provided to enhance the study of science under the project estimated at 40 million cedis.

He said that the school authorities decided to renovate the laboratory because students had to travel to Swedru Secondary School for science practical.

Addressing the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting at Nsaba, Mr Ansah said the school was constructing four masters’ bungalows at an estimated cost of 60 million cedis, adding that, the project had reached the floor level.

He said that the PTA had spent about 198 million cedis for the construction of three classrooms with a basement to be used for a computer laboratory when completed.

The Headmaster said efforts were being made to rehabilitate the boys dormitory and appealed to the government to expedite action on the completion of Dinning Hall project, which had been abandoned for many years.

Mr Ansah said the Presbyterian Church was moving its Catchiest training course from Kwahu Abetifi to Nsaba where the students were using the Church building as a dinning hall.

Mr Paa Kwadwo Bimpong Manful, Vice Chairman of the PTA, gave the assurance that the Association would support the school authorities to maintain a high standard of discipline among the students.

He called for effective parental control over children especially at home and urged the students to take their studies seriously. Mr Manful asked parents to pay their children school fees promptly to promote teaching and learning.
