NPP’s Omari Wadie granted bail after ‘threatening’ Mahama

Atinka FM’s sources at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Friday confirmed that New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Omari Wadie, has been granted bail after being arrested for threatening President John Dramani.

“Omari Wadie was arrested, cautioned and bailed today,” the top CID official confirmed.

In a recent radio discussion, Mr Wadie was alleged to have threatened the life of the president

He warned: “If President Mahama dares to evoke his prerogative of mercy, what happened to the late Mills will happen to him.

“He should not dare pardon the trio, but if he thinks he is [a] man and understands the law, he should go ahead and pardon them. If he releases them, by the next election, he will not be the president… I’m telling you that, if he dares, he will not be the president,” Wadie added.
