NPP won’t stop speaking against violence, tribal politics – Mustapha Hamid

Aide to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Mustapha Hamid has assured Ghanaians that the party will continue to speak against political violence and tribal politics.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Mustapha Hamid commenting on the recent violent attacks mentioned that Nana Addo shares in the view that it is important that the police strengthens its ties and ensure that perpetrators of political violence are caught and dealt with accordingly.

He added that tribal politics does not win elections, stating that the NPP presidential candidate will rather tell Ghanaians why they need to vote him come December 7th.

President Mahama reportedly called on Northerners not to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP, because they hate people from the north, adding “they will use you and dump you.”

“I pity Northerners who are calling for change,” President Mahama, a northerner, told residents of Lawra in the Upper West Region when toured the area as part of his campaign for a renewed mandate.

The NPP is currently campaigning in the three Northern regions in Ghana.
