NPP woman accuses leaders of sinking party funds into Gen Sec’s b’day party

A controversial member of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hajia Fati Amadu disrupted a meeting at the party’s Accra headquarters Wednesday when she stormed there amidst tantrums and name-calling.

She accused national executives of the party of funneling financial resources of the NPP into the General Secretary’s recent birthday party on March 6, while leaving grassroots workers at the headquarters hungry. “Pay the workers,” she yelled while spewing unprintable insults at the national executives.

Hajia Amadu accused the party’s current treasurer of mismanaging funds of the party and also slammed the national executives for importing a member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to becoming an administrator of the NPP.

The leadership of the party has refused to speak on the matter.
