NPP was tactically better in communication than us in 2016 – NDC admits

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has humbly admitted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had a better communication team than them prior to the 2016 general elections.

Mr Solomon Nkansah, the National Communication Officer of the opposition NDC who made the confession said the NPP had better communication strategies that appealed to the conscience of the voting populace describing that of his party as a disaster.

According to him, the NPP directed their kind of propaganda towards certain criteria of people in the society while the NDC had their own way of propagating their message that failed to fly.

“NDC committed tactical errors. Whilst the NPP directed insults at John Mahama and his ministers, the NDC did the other way round by pouring insults on men of God”. He revealed.

He further mentioned Prof. Martey, Former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church and Rev. Owusu Bempah as some of the men of God NDC hurled insults at.

“The NDC directed more of their insults at chiefs as well which was very bad on our path”, Mr Nkansah chided.

“Communication is about generating issues, creating a necessary atmosphere; giving the party members better information, etc. I couldn’t do all these in the last election as compared to what I did in 2012. However, it’s not my fault”, he stated.

He said the National Organiser of the NDC, Kofi Adams who doubled as campaign coordinator did not see communication as an important tool in winning elections.

“I have now taken notes of all the loopholes and I am going to work towards them”, he promised.

Solomon Nkansh has now shown interest in running for the position of National organizer of the NDC.
