The New Patriotic Party (NPP) UK branch has congratulated the party’s newly elected National Officers and pledged to work with them to secure victory in the 2028 General Elections.
The elections took place during the NPP’s 2026 National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3.
The UK branch also praised delegates for completing what it described as a successful democratic process, while wishing the incoming leadership wisdom, strength and success as it assumes responsibility for the party.
In a statement signed by UK Branch Chairman Andy Owusu, the branch said: “NPP UK remains committed to working with the new leadership to strengthen the Party, unite our members and build the momentum needed for Victory in the 2028 General Elections. Congratulations once again, and we wish you a successful tenure.”
The newly elected national executive officers are led by Chairman John Boadu.
Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also congratulated the outgoing National Executive Committee, which was led by former Acting National Chairman Danquah Smith Buttey.
He extended his congratulations to the members of the National Officers Elections Committee, chaired by Frederick Opare Ansah, as well as to all delegates involved in organising and conducting the conference.
Mr Akufo-Addo said the event had again highlighted the strength of the NPP’s internal democratic processes.
He also welcomed the election of the new national executive officers and wrote on Facebook: “I extend my best wishes for a fruitful mandate.”
The former president said the conclusion of the conference should begin what he called the party’s progressive pursuit of its shared ambitions as “One Party, with One Purpose, United for Victory.”
He called for all members to work together ahead of the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“The time has come for all hands on deck so that the Party can emerge victorious from the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections to enable a new NPP government under the leadership of the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, to be formed to promote the rule of law and the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian,” he wrote.
