NPP Members Before Court For Hooting

Ten NPP Supporters in the Asikuma/Odoben Brakwa Constituency are expected to be arraigned before the Breman Asikuma District Magistrate Court tomorrow for allegedly hooting at the Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa DCE, Mr Sampson Kwame Anfako.

The incident is said to have occurred on March 6, 2005 during a parade to commemorate Ghana’s 48 Independence Anniversary Celebration at the Roman Catholic Boys’ School Park at Breman Asikuma.

The ten suspects include Anthony Amoakwa, Constituency Organiser, Alhaji Usman Saleem, Kwame Katakyi Egyir, Andrew Asamoadu Buadoo – Constituency Chairman and Kweku Sakyi.

The others are, Eric Adu Twum Attah, Comfort Sackey – Constituency Women Organiser, Nana Kwame, Kenneth Owongo Yankson and Faabu. The NPP MP for Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa, Hon P.C. Appiah-Ofori stated in an interview with Peace FM that even though the action of the suspects is condemnable, their arrest is unfortunate.
