NPP is the most confused party ever – NDC

Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah has tagged the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the most “confused” political party in the country.

His comment comes after the elephant fraternity accused the ruling party of using state funds in the President’s ongoing ‘Accounting to the people’ tour.

NPP’s Communications Director, Nana Akomea in a statement noted that “The NDC used to decry what they termed abuse of incumbency in political campaigning. Sad to relate, President Mahama is indulging big time in incumbency abuse.”

“In this campaign tour, there are over 400 billboards across the country, Branding of public buses, GBC TV and Radio live broadcasts etc all at the expense of the poor Ghanaian taxpayer. Footage of President Mahama’s visit to Yendi for instance, shows a trail of over 40 heavy duty landcriusers.

“… All these expense and the NHIS remains underfunded, and unpaid feeding grant for schools in the North keep our schools closed,” he said.

But in a sharp riposte, Solomon Nkansah fired back saying the accusation is “laughable” and “baseless”– “Nana Akomea should rather discuss issues in his party. The NPP is just confused.”

“The issue is that the NPP is shocked with the massive support the President is having during his tour. President Mahama will win the upcoming election based on his developmental projects across the country. He is focused,” he said on NEAT FM’s ‘Ghana Montie’ programme.
