NPP desperate to stain Mahama with drugs – Ablakwa

Deputy Education Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has accused the main opposition New Patriotic Party of trying hard to stain the Mahama-led administration with a drug scandal.

According to him, efforts by some members of the NPP to link Nayele Ametefeh- the Ghanaian who was busted in the UK for drug trafficking- to the President is part of the grand scheme.

“This is a desperate move which has collapsed. Claims that she is even the President’s brother’s girlfriend and linked to top government officials; all of them have collapsed. So far not a single evidence,” the former Information said on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Saturday.

He said the opposition party appears to be too “desperate” in their quest to “compare the drugs records under Former President Kufuor with the current administration”.

“Look at what they are doing to innocent ladies in our country only because some political operatives are looking for a twin brother”.

He advised Francesca Adjei- the lady whose picture was first put out on social media as the arrested courier – to go to court and defend her rights.
