NPP Chairman calls for unity among supporters

Koforidua, August 25, GNA – The New Juaben-South constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Alexander Agyena-Sarpong, on Wednesday appealed for unity among party supporters to move the party forward.

He advised party supporters to rally behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Flagbearer of the party, to deliver victory to the NPP in the 2012 election. Mr Agyena-Sarpong urged NPP supporters to guard against all forms of divisive tendencies and to remain united to ensure victory for the party. “We have to come together, unite and work hard to move the party forward” he told the GNA in an interview.

Mr Agyena-Sarpong said the constituency would soon embark on education programmes in the rural and urban centres to drum home support for the party to counteract falsehood by the National Democratic Congress in the rural areas.

He expressed disappointment with the way the National Health Insurance Scheme, the school feeding programme and supply of school uniforms were being handled by the government.

Mr Agyena-Sarpong said those issues were having a negative impact on the rural people and called on the NDC government to address the problems. He called for cordial relations between the NDC and NPP to ensure peace in the country.
