NPP cautioned against imposing parliamentary candidate on Shai-Osudoku

Shai-Osudoku (GAR), May 19, GNA – A leading member of the NPP in the Osudoku Constituency in the Dangbe West District Mr Daniel Kwadjo Koidonu, has cautioned the leadership of the party against any attempt at imposing a parliamentary candidate on them.

He warned that members would resist any attempt at imposing a parliamentary candidate on the constituency.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Osudoku on Tuesday, Mr Koidonu said Shai-Osudoku constituency was regarded as a “trouble-prone constituency” and therefore any attempt to impose a parliamentary candidate on the party would not “augur well for the fortunes of the party in the area.”

He noted that of late, some parliamentary aspirants, without going to the primaries, have already posted their photographs all over the constituency, which to him was bringing confusion among the supporters of the party.

According to him, NPP supporters were determined to capture the seat from the NDC, come the December elections so nothing should be done to thwart efforts towards this objective. He said members of the party would support any candidate who wins the primaries.
