Northern Regional Chairman of NDC is dead

Tamale, Nov. 8, GNA – The Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Sumani Zakari, reportedly died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Sunday evening. Alhaji Ibrahim Yussif Andani, Tamale Central Constituency Chairman of the NDC, told the GNA that Alhaji Zakari died from diabetes and that the body would be brought to Tamale on Monday for burial. He said the late Chairman had battled with diabetes for about 20 years and was on admission at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for about eight months before his death. Alhaji Andani said his death had left a big vacuum in the party, adding that his fatherly advise would forever be in the minds of the party members.
