Normal sittings to resume at Cocoa Affairs Court

Accra, June 8, GNA – The Judicial Service on Thursday announced that courts relocated outside the premises of Cocoa Affairs (28th February Road Courts) would resume sitting on Monday June 12, at the premises.

They are the Circuit Courts 1, 2, 3 and 4, a statement issued by the Office of the Judicial Secretary said.

The statement said High Court 12, 15 and 16, which were sitting in the afternoon, would resume their normal sitting on June 12. High Court 9, 10 and 13 would also resume sitting on June 12. It said High Court 14 would, however, continue to sit at the premises of the Regional Tribunal.

The statement said the arrangement had become possible as a result of the retrofitting and minor repairs works that had been completed in those courtrooms identified by technical experts. The statement said the structure housing High Court 12 and 14, which collapsed on April 26, 2006, would no longer be used as court rooms.
