No drugs at Boamang government hospital

The Boamang Government Hospital in the Afigya Kwabre district of the Ashanti Region has been hit by a shortage of drugs following the decision of suppliers to stop providing drugs to the facility.

The development has resulted in patients being unable to access drugs after treatment, the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Hamidu Salam, has said.

Mr Salam told GHOne TV on Friday May 26 that the suppliers, since June 2016, stopped providing drugs to the hospital due to unpaid debts.

He appealed to the government to settle the debt owed the suppliers to enable them resume supplies.
