Nkwanta-North honours 23 farmers

Damanko (V/R), Dec. 4, GNA – Twenty-three (23) farmers including four women, were honoured at this year’s Farmers Day celebration in the Nkwanta-North District. Mr Kojo Lapual of Sibi-Jatokparekpare, the overall best farmer in the district, received a corn-mill and a host of other prizes for cultivating 82 acres of yam, 10 acres of soghum, five acres of maize and rearing goats, pigs and ducks. Hajia Fati Safianu emerged the Best Female Farmer in the district with the Best Fish Processor going to Madam Patience Adzigodi. Madam Dagana Tsetri, Madam Gifty Klomega, Master Elijah Kidisil of Sibi hilltop were adjudged the Best Pepper Farmer, the Best Gari Processor and the Best Youth Farmer respectively The Best Youth Farmer has 26 acres of cassava, yam, maize, groundnuts and also rears pigs. Mr Abraham Sando became the Best Disabled Farmer with 1.5 acres of cassava farm. 4 Dec. 10
