Nkoranza District to form watch-dog committees

The Nkoranza District is to form neighbourhood watch-dog committees in the various communities to help fight crime. Mr Innocent Albert Rugby, the District Superintendent of Police, Who dropped the hint at Nkoranza over the weekend, advised the people to regard policemen as peace-makers and to report suspected criminals to enable the police to deal with them. He warned cyclists who use the road in the night without head lights that the practice is an offence and said that six offenders were recently fined 50,000 cedis each by the district tribunal. Mr Rugby appealed to assembly members, chiefs and unit committees to to form watch-dog committees in the communities to assist the police to maintain law and order in the district.
