Nkoranza (B/A), March 26, GNA – Nana Owusu Nturubu II, a former Adontenhene of the Nkoranza traditional area, who withdrew from a group of dissatisfied elders who stood against the Omanhene, Okatakyie Agyemang Kudom IV, about two weeks ago has formally paid homage to the Omanhene at his palace at Nkoranza. Some traditional leaders of the area accompanied him. Nana Owusu Nturubu said he took the reconciliatory move with the Omanhene all by himself and not under the influence of any family members.
Nana Nturubu and Nana Afia Afra appealed to the Nananom to forget the past and co-operate with the Omanhene. The Omanhene noted that it was through the efforts of Nana Nturubu that he became chief of Nkoranza and was therefore surprised that the former chief had joined the malcontents. He asked them to freely call on him when the need arose without any inhibition. Present with Okatakyie Agyemang were Nana Amoagyare Baffoe II, Gyaasehene of Nkoranza, Nana Kwabena Tetteh, Nifahene, Nana Baffo Nti, Kyeame, Okofo Agyapong, Adontenhene and Opoku Bediako Baffour, vice chairman of NPP youth at Nkoranza.
