Nii Lante to contest NPP Odododiodioo primaries

Edward Patrick Nii Lante Bannerman, a banker and development activist, has filed nomination to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Odododiodioo constituency.

Speaking to the media after submitting his documentation, he said the time had come for young people with fresh ideas to contribute to the development of their local communities as well as the nation’s development.

Mr Bannerman called on delegates to select a candidate who appeals to all and sundry to be able to wrestle power from the ruling National Democratic Congress.

Earlier in the day, he made a donation of children’s clothing worth GH? 2,000 to the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital.

He said the support was in line with the biblical exhortation that urged individuals to care for the less privileged especially children, adding: “This is the beginning of greater things to happen, God willing, in the near future we shall consider adopting a ward here to put smiles on the faces of these children.”

Mr Bannerman was accompanied by a large group of people drawn from the community, majority of whom were delegates of the NPP Electoral College in the constituency.
