In a special message which preceded the meeting, Dr. Essiamah said the action of his organisation followed a GNA news item carried by the website in which Nana Effirim strongly advised Ghanaians to take protect the country’s forest resources.

Dr. Essiamah expressed the hope that stool elders and other stakeholders in Apam would team up with Nana Effirim to facilitate the joint tree planting programme which Schulwalder for West Africa E.V. and Nana Effirim have initiated.

He announced the organisation’s plan to establish tree seedling nurseries to support the programme.
