NGO initiates project to make members patriotic

Accra, Feb. 24, GNA – As part of its contribution towards national unity and development, the Rebuilders Movement (RM), a Christian Non-Governmental Organization, has initiated a project which would ginger its members to become patriotic and proactive. The project dubbed: “The Day Born Groupings Project” would enable the members of the NGO to initiate development oriented projects according to their days of birth.

Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, Mr Kwodwo Marfo, International Relations Officer of the NGO, noted that Ghanaians attached a lot of importance and significance to their days of birth, hence the decision of RM to tap on that. “The importance that we attach to our days of birth is what has given us this opportunity to design this initiative for our people and Ghanaians as a whole,” he added. Expatiating on the seven days of birth and what their members would do, he said those born on Sunday would venture into agriculture to feed the hungry while those born on Monday would organize motivational seminars for the rest to take on their tasks.

For those born on Tuesday, he said, they would be in charge of the Cannon Newspaper run by the NGO while those born on Wednesday would repaint all government Senior High Schools in their vicinity. “For those born on Thursday and Friday, they would develop a pension plan for the members and educate people on the need to be patriotic respectively,” he said. Mr Marfo added that those born on Saturday would be entrusted with the education of children below 12 by helping them to identify their God given talents. On their source of funding, he said money would be generated from the members of the NGO for their projects.
