NGO donates drugs to two clinics in Mo area in Brong Ahafo

Kintampo (B/A), Nov 14, GNA – Jamakoro Foundation For Deg Child Education, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) was operating in the Mo in the Kimtampo area, on Friday presented drugs worth one million cedis to two clinics at Jama and Bosoema.

Mr Emmanuel Doni-Kwame, Co-ordinator of the Foundation, told Ghana News Agency that the NGO had since its inauguration in August 2002 spent more than 15 million cedis on health and education in the area. He said the Foundation had given scholarships worth five million cedis to five students in tertiary institutions and four students in senior secondary schools.

Mr Doni-Kwame said the NGO had also donated exercise books, ballpoint pens, lanterns and kerosene to some schools.

The Foundation is also engaged in the campaign against the spread of HIV/AIDS in the area.
