New Zambian HC Presents Letters of Credence

Accra, June 22, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Wednesday asked Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Ghana not to allow their location be a hindrance to the performance of their work. He said “wherever you are located, the most important thing is how focused you will be to promote the relationship between your country and Ghana”.

President Kufuor made the call when Mr Godfrey Chilufya Musonda, Zambian High Commissioner in Ghana based in Abuja, Nigeria, presented his Letters of Credence at the Castle, Osu. He called on Mr Musonda to endeavour to ensure that both countries realised the objectives of the communiqu=E9 signed between Ghana and Zambia during the recent visit of Zambian President Patrick Mwanawasa to Ghana.

Mr Musonda said Zambia was determined to open a Mission in Ghana by the end of next year. He pledged to work hard for the success of the Joint Permanent Commission on Economic Cooperation signed with Ghana.
