New Slum Developing At James Town

As the tango between the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the residents of Sodom and Gomorrah (pictured) over the ejection of the latter rages on, there is yet another illegal settlement gradually springing up in Accra.

Residents of Accra who travel on the beach road from Korle-Gonno through James Town to the busy High Street Town are witnesses to this new slum that is gradually developing at spot almost opposite the Ghana National Fire Service Training School at James Town in Accra.

Investigations by THE INDEPENDENT have revealed that the slum is the handiwork of the group of dealers who trade in goats and sheep along the Korle-Gonno – James Town beach road.
