New Juaben MP donates to Koforidua Hospital

Koforidua, Sept 20, GNA – Ms Beatrice Bernice Boateng, Member of Parliament (MP) for New Juaben South, on Tuesday donated medical items worth GHC 12, 000 to the Eastern Regional Hospital, in Koforidua.

The items included surgical gloves, sterile dressing, Spurometer Puritan Bennett, beds and mattresses.

According to Ms Boateng, apart from the beds and mattresses that she bought, the other items were donated to her by Virtue Foundation in the USA.

She said that the Virtue Foundation also donated items to the 19 female MPs in the country to be distributed to health facilities in their respective constituencies.

Dr Daniel Asare, the Medical Director of the Hospital, who received the items, commended Ms Boateng for the gesture.

He also praised the MP for furnishing the mother’s hostel and donating drugs to the hospital earlier.

Dr Asare appealed to citizens of the Region to donate to health facilities to promote health care.
