New Juaben Association in New England donates to Hospital

Members of New Juaben Association of New England, Massachusetts, and USA on Friday donated medical equipment and consumables valued at $60,000 to Koforidua Regional Hospital.

The items include an X-ray machine, Mamograph reader, boxes of syringes, gloves and giving sets.

Asokwahene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Awuah Panin III, known in private life as Mr Harry Danso, presented the items on behalf of the association.

Nana Panin, who is also the President of the Association, said the presentation was the second of its kind to the Hospital.

He said plans are far advanced to donate 45 computers and an ambulance to the Hospital later this year.

Dr Kwame Anim-Boamah, Acting Medical Director of the Hospital who received the items, thanked the association for the gesture, explaining that it would motivate the medical staff to give off their best.
