New Bole DCE tours the district

Bole (N/R), Sept 02, GNA – Madam Elizabeth Salamatu Forgor, the District Chief Executive for Bole, has appealed to parents to use the government capitation grant programme to ensure they enrol their children in school.

”Parents should send all their children to school and make sure they stay till they complete their education,” she said. She said this during a tour of the district that took her to Makumah, Kakiasi, Mandari, Songor, Msumah, Nausan, Doli, Jentige, Kiayape, Cbagdaah and Chache.

At Chache, Mad Forgor told the people to be vigilant and to report suspicious characters along the Ghana/Cote d’Ivoire to the security agencies.

”I appeal to all of you to close your ranks and live in unity,” Mad Forgo said and urged supporters of political parties in the district to patch up their differences and live in harmony. Interacting with security personnel at the Chache border, the DCE commended the Armed Forces detachment for their vigilance even though they work under difficult constraints.

She urged them to curb the illegal importation of arms and ammunition into the country and smuggling of fuel across the border. The chiefs gave a tall list of their needs and mentioned some as lack of teachers, health staff, and good roads to facilitate the movement of foodstuffs and good drinking water.
