Nduom, Blay In Trouble, As CPP Decides Their Fate

The leadership of the CPP is on war path with two of its stalwart members.

The two members are Mr. Freddie Blay, the Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, Minister of Energy in the current administration.

Whether these two politicians will continue to be members of the CPP will be decided at a special meeting to be convened by the Central Committee of the Party at the end of this month.

According to THE EVENING NEWS, the decision by the two stalwarts to align themselves with the ruling NPP administration in the forthcoming parliamentary and presidential elections has angered the leadership of the party.

It is therefore not certain whether the candidatures of the two personalities will be endorsed by the party.

IN an interview with THE EVENING NEWS in Accra, Dr. Edmund Delle, national chairman of the CPP, said contrary to the rules and regulations of the party, the two politicians had gone on their own ways to announce their intentions to contest the Parliamentary election without prior approval of the party.
