NDP issues 24-hour ultimatum to EC to reinstate Konadu

The National Democratic Party has issued an ultimatum to the Electoral Commission to ensure that its flagbearer, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is registered for the December elections or face court action.

Mrs. Rawlings’ nomination forms to contest the Presidential elections on the ticket of the NDP were rejected last Thursday after the EC stated that there were some errors in their forms.

Speaking to XYZ News, lawyer for the NDP flagbearer, Stanley Ahorlu stated that the NDP has not received any official explanation from the Electoral Commission on why the Nana Konadu’s forms were rejected.

He added that Nana Konadu’s disqualification violates the principles of democratic governance adding that the EC must properly explain her disqualification within the next 24 hours or will take legal action.
